As we’ve seen reports from WaBetaInfo, WhatsApp is said to be testing features like custom wallpaper for individual chats, muting videos before sending, keeping chats in Read Later section, etc. And now, in the latest update, WhatsApp has rolled out the wallpapers feature to few users in the stable channels.

Under this, users can set customize their backgrounds to set different wallpapers for different chats. Also, they can set different colors for the default WhatsApp doodle, setup new architecture and nature wallpapers, and also to wallpapers for light and dark mode. WhatsApp defined this customization scan help “Make your chats personal and distinguishable by using a custom wallpaper for your most important chats and favorite people, and you never need to worry about sending the wrong message in the wrong chat ever again.” Also, they have introduced support for better-searching stickers in the platform. Users can now search for stickers based on text and emojis, and also in categories. While this seems helpful, this also needs the sticker creators to tag their makes with relevant text and emojis before publishing. Also, the WHO’s pack of “Together at Home” stickers is now available too. Available in nine languages, it has funny stickers to remind us about social measures we need to take during the pandemic.
